its black XD it's never purple in the manga its usually the sun or light bouncing of her hair its like that in the anime too ^^

I'm not agree, I think in the anime is black with violet reflection instead of in takeuchi illustrations is dark purple ^^

it's a pity that it's not an illustrations ^_^
I'm really not interested if you think that the hair is black please go on, I (and many others) still think that the right colour is dark purple.
